We have limited our need for agents by creating a central Job Server(Win2008). In order to run jobs on other servers without agents we have used batch files on the job server with psexec calls, or a powershell script using Invoke-WmiMethod. While these both work, I am struggling to capture the return code and std_out,std_err information. All Autosys sees from the initial batch file is that the remote call was made, not the true return code. Does anyone have experience with this, or is there a better way? Or should I just tell management to buy more agents?
