OBS XOG deadlock error

We are having an interface to update OBS from an external system. We are interfacing with Clarity through Web Service. One packet of data sent contains about 50 OBS updates. We constantly get database deadlock errors which in-turn is making the Clarity application very slow.

The error we get is,
java.sql.SQLException: [CA Clarity][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Transaction (Process ID 94) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim

Thanks.
