CA IDMS Tuesday Tip by Yves Anthoons, Principal Support Engineer for June 18, 2013.

Are you bored of using PF10/PF11 to scroll right/left in OLP?

If so, you can use the WRAP command to wrap long log records into a second line. To get back to the normal display mode, use the SCROLL command.

Example:

Normal display

06:54 IDMS DC013002 V1700 T0 ATTACHING DATABASE RESOURCE CONTROLLER
06:54 IDMS DC200131 V1700 T1 Lock Manager Initialization Complete
06:54 IDMS DC200023 V1700 T1 CV Change Tracking is active
06:54 IDMS DC200245 V1700 T1 Serializing member startup
06:54 IDMS DC200184 V1700 T1 Checking for unrecovered transactions
06:54 IDMS DC200185 V1700 T1 All transactions recovered

06:54 IDMS DC040205 V1700 T1 Enqueuing member:SYST1800

After using the WRAP command :
