what type of data you wish to validate? - the nature of the data OR the statistics collected?
The type of CEM data is mostly based on the real-time transaction based monitoring for all your organization's business, You may discover various transactions using the "auto discovery" service. Both these types of data are collected thru your designated TCS (Tim Collection Services) or other EMs.
The various metrics ( realtime/ historic) are located in the management module of the work station under "CEM BT Stats / Metrics grouping" tree.
The actual data collection depends how you record the transaction / promote the business into the business service container. For more more information, you can refer to the "APM transaction definition guide".
I support Ashish's statement above. The purpose of the business SLA values in APM such as - Inherit Sigma SLA / Sigma SLA / Inherit Success Rate SLA / Success Rate SLA / Inherit Transaction Time SLA / Transaction Time SLA is to gather the business data determined thru pre-set conditions / baseline.
The APM generates the reports / defect types such as - (Slow/Fast Time, High/Low Throughput, Large/Small Size etc based on your "baseline value". first you have to gather the business availability and these refer those baselines to plugin some applicable rule values in the APM CEM to get realistic results.
A starting point will be to study the performance /availability data from other products in your organization. Also you may discuss with business stakeholder / Applications Owners as well.
