CA Support tech says we have too many CEM transactions. So I want to get an idea how many is too many. We have about 500 CEM transactions. My management is havng difficulty believing CEM can't handle more transactions.
Our total transaction volumn is about 15M per day. We have one 'catch-all' transaction doing about 4M trans per day. We use the CEM baseline as the threshold. IMO, CEM baseline is very high threshold, which triggers defects at the worst scenaro. We have few APM vendors came in for demo and they claim they can mointor all incoming transactions.
As for hardware, we're spanning from a gigamon. We have a dedicated Network team to handle that, very silo operation.
Our current APM database is running on Postgres and about 150GB big.
Are you on Postgres or Oracle and how big?
