CA Tuesday Tip: CA WA Agent on Linux and SELinux

Discussion created by panni04 Employee on Apr 15, 2014

When Linux agent is installed on an SELinux enabled OS, the SELinux security may prevent agent from starting up as root.  Run the following command to allow the agent to startup properly.

find <agent_install_directory/jre> -name "*.so" -exec chcon -t textrel_shlib_t {} \;

find /<agent_install_directory> -name "*.bin" -exec chcon -t texrel_shlib_t{} \;

chcon -t texrel_shlib_t /<agent_install_directory>/chkusr{} \;

The above commands allow the agent to load the libraries it needs at startup.
