Team, we're presently running 8.1.2 on Windows 2003.

There is an initiative to upgrade this to 12. But the thing is we also are trying to upgrade the windows server to Windows 2008.

Is there a way to save the clarity 8.1.2 when the server is migrated to 2008. The OS is brand new and some server admins are saying all data will be lost and this is of great concern to us that we will have to re-install 8.1.2 on the new box and then upgrade it to Clarity 12.

My gut feeling is that there is a way to save the information on the box from being wiped out on migration to a new version of the OS. Please let me know if any of you has some insight on this.
