I am trying (without luck) to add a Resource OBS lookup filter on a Resource Assignments Portlet (NSQL based). What's the best way of doing this? Thanks, R

I'd do it like this; add this to your NSQL "where clause" AND (@WHERE:PARAM:USER_DEF:INTEGER:OBS@ is null
OR EXISTS ( SELECT 1 FROM prj_obs_associations ASSOC
, prj_obs_units_flat FLAT
WHERE > = ASSOC.record_id
AND ASSOC.table_name = 'SRM_RESOURCES'
AND ASSOC.unit_id = FLAT.unit_id
AND FLAT.branch_unit_id = @WHERE:PARAM:USER_DEF:INTEGER:OBS@
)) this will create an attribute in your query called "param_obs" and associate that param_obs with the lookup "OBS Resource Filter Browse / OBS_BROWSE_FLT_RES" If you want the user to also choose the "Units&Descendants" / "Unit" only options as well (my example does NOT implement this) - then I'm pretty sure I've seen that example code on caforums elsewhere? Dave. EDIT : If you search here on caforums for "OBS FILTER" you will get a lot of threads.... This thread;
is the one I was thinking of that has some code (towards the end, by Paul (maxad)) that implements the "Units&Descendants" choices etc
:what: EDIT :
is the corrected link after the forum reboot May2010 :what:
