our QA team is in the process of identifying what testing needs to take place in preparation for the rollout of IE 11.
Can anyone advise if our current Clarity version (13.1) is certified for IE 11?
Clarity Version 13.1 is not compatible with IE11.
Client can always opt the compatibility mode on
IE11. Some Known issues related to IE11 do not supposedly come up when you
work in IE11 compatibility mode. This may be a temporary solution for you as
of now. However,Please note that IE11 and IE11 comp mode still are not
supported with your version of Clarity.
But it should work fine for Clarity 13.3, with minor rendering issues, though.
I've used it with no issues (mine is 13.3) but I do prefer Chrome and Firefox...
I know for 13.3 we found some problems in our theme that needed to be cleaned up.
Just wondering again...
How will IE 11 work with Clarity 8.1.3 and what to test?
I think almost certainly you will want to use enterprise compatibility mode for v8.1
as for what to test, this is difficult without knowing what customisations and configuration your organisation has made
One thing I've done is searched through the knowledge base and the community for IE and made lists of the results.
They need to be cleaned to have only Internet Explorer and ie. (id est) removed. Did not see a way to do that with the search.
You may find this link useful for testing. Here you can find VMs of all the I.E browsers
Thanks, that looks interesting. Will keep that in mind for future.
However, in my case there is a separate test environment is is configured according to the future desktop environment plan. The testing is done from that environment accessing what ever compatibility is tested with IE 11.
