Defining an agent in WebSphere 8.5 Templates

I am working with my first application where the JVMs are dynamically defined based on an template. If changes are made (like adding the JVM Arguments or custom service) to the JVMs, when a change is made to the template the changes at the JVM level are lost. This is also used by for dynamically spooling up a JVM...

We have put the agent start up information on the Template but since this is not an actual JVM, I do not think the listServers.sh or configurePMI.sh will work. I have not played around with this too much and will have a session with one of the developers in the near future but I was just wondering if any of you have done anything with this.

I was thinking that I may need to configure the Custom Service either manually or maybe by fooling configurePMI by playing with the apply_profiles.properties (if possible on a "template")

Anyway, any experiences with this set up?

Thanx

Steve
