Good day to all. I am looking for a plug-in to CA Clarity PPM that will allow us to perform quantitative risk analysis. Thank you.
Don't think there is any OOB plug-in available
However, you can create a sub-page and coupled with a process to set the values you can do the Quantitative risk analysis.
Just a guess , that when you want to implement "Quantitative risk analysis", you are looking at the EMV (Expected Monetary Value)
Thank you NJ for getting back to me. What we need to do is to run a Monte Carlo Simulation; that is a part of the quantitative risk analysis. EMV is very simple and as you said that is easy to do in CA Clarity. There are software out there (such s @Risk, Risk+, Crystal Ball) that perform such analysis however we need something that runs native in CA Clarity.
I have been looking at the different tools you mentioned online. It looks like Risk+ Integrates with Microsoft Project and there are several add on's for Microsoft Excel. I did searches including +Clarity and +PPM and didn't see anything that runs native inside Clarity. However, there may be options where you could perform your Monte Carlo simulations external to Clarity and simply store the results in Clarity. For example, you could save the html output of the simulation to a network file server and reference the URL via a link in Clarity. You could take a screen shot of the output and save it in the Collaboration tab, You could create a sub-object to hold the key output parameters, you could save the output of the simulation to excel and do a integration using the CA data adapter. I know none of this is perfect but perhaps these are options you had not considered yet.
I agree with Chris ! Also, check this -

Thank you very much Chris and NJ. Will give it a shot.
You're welcome !
Happy Friday and have a nice weekend
Were you able to finalize an approach to "run a Monte Carlo Simulation" ?
If you can share some info, would be helpful to someone looking for a similar requirement
