I have a client who runs MSP over Citrix. Issues arise with MSP Connect when attempting to use MSP with Clarity. Before spending more time looking at these issues I am asking if anyone has successfully made the connection.
Hi All - Anyone have experience they can share with John? Thanks! Chris
could you please be more specific on the Citrix setup? Is is application virtualization or session virtualization (XenApp).
Have you checked whether the MSP application has access to the directory the interface file is provided in?
Thanks George – yes there are a lot of unanswered questions however, what I am looking for is if anyone has made this work. If they have it is worth spending the time on looking at the Citrix setup. If no one has been successful then it may not be worth spending the time.

I have no experience with MSP over Citrix directly.
However, we have repeatedly used Open Workbench over Citrix at several CA PPM Customers which we support. Unfortunately, we never did the configuration together with them. I just remember, that some configuration and testing was necessary before it finally worked, especially setting the user paths was difficult.
Since the critical Point is not running Open Workbench or MSP over Citrix, but getting Schedule Connect to open your project correctly, I see no point why it shouldn't work with MSP, while it is possible with Open Workbench.
However, it sure depends on your setup and the exact Citrix technology you are using.
That is exactly what I was after. I agree that if it works for Workbench it should also work for MSP. It looks like it is worth committing resources to sort out the issues.
Years ago I was in a project where they were planning to do the training with MSP used with Citrix.
Unfortunately I left before that was done and came back again years later and did not get any information whether or not that actually done. The IT department in the MS shop were very confident that it would worken when they were planning it.
There's an old post on the same -
That is more using Clarity with Citrix.
We use Citrix VDI to access Clarity 8 without any problems or any real visible difference with IE 10 and tested IE 11.
OWB is installed on VDI. No problems there either.
But have not even tested MS Project.
AtlantaOz, were you able to get MSP working with Clarity on Citrix?
We are doing a Citrix-POC with the new MSP-driver and MSP2013. Basically we've not been able to get Schedule Connect to work, apart from a couple of times where it seemingly randomly suddenly works. Tried reinstalling, changing Internet Explorer 11 settings etc. without success
