Adding notes/comments/links to alarms

We are in the process of moving to NimBUS as our primary monitoring solution.  Our current monitoring tool allows our techs to add comments such as the trouble ticket number to track the progress of a ticket.  This is very helpful when there is a shift change, so support staff can query the history of an alarm to get a status. 
We also have the ability to add support document links to alarms to assist the operators. 
Is there a way to do this with NimBUS and/or is there anyone who has incorporated a home-grown solution to work with NimBUS?
