Discussion created by moylu01 Employee on Jul 30, 2014

Hi, I trying to configure the db2 probe, I made the connection but I can't still see info in the database

I saw in the logs many lines like this

Jul 29 13:51:54:436 [5876] db2: (RunQuery) - Profile: uxseldb30p/app_acc_curs_blk, query returns data in unsupported format, error msg: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/AIX64] SQL1092N  "CAADMIN" does not have the authority to perform the requested command or operation.

but also lines like this

Jul 29 13:52:00:098 [2804] db2: Profile: uxseldb30p/app_cat_cache_hit_rto, fwIsActive returns 0, active: 1, interval: 0

I suppose that for some metrics has access and for anothers not.

I been searching in the db2 documentation, and many of the monitoring data cames from this, procedure

MON_GET_CONNECTION(cast(NULL as bigint), -2)

Anybody knows if the db2 probe uses this procedure, so I can debug the operation testing with the user that customer gave me, that if i can execute, I have privileges or if not I need the privileges and i can validate with te execution of this command. If not uses this procedure any query that i can run manually and validate the privileges

regards
