Can anyone tell me if there's a way to put a server (Linux) in maintenance mode via the command line?
This will be interessting ;-), do not know, that there is a Command-Line-Version, I wrote my own NAS-skript to do that, which starts via an alarm delivered by nexec to schedule the maintenance
The key-component of the script is this
args = pds.create() pds.putInt(args,"for",tonumber(ende)) pds.putString(args,"comment",Kommentar.."(maint_until by Maintenance-Script)") rc = nimbus.request(targetrobotadress,"maint_until",args) pds.delete(args)
Mgruber is right,
Thats the gist of it. Attached is another version which can set maint mode on all robots of a specific hub with specific robots in stalled. I.e. go maint if you have sql_response installed.
pu-command, nice Idea, forget that always, I am just too focused on my nexec -> alarm -> nas - technique ;-)
@mgruber and once your fluent in LUA is probably a lot quicker and nicer too
