Monitor file contents in a XML file on disk drive

I've searched the forums and found a lot of information about the going probe, but with the discussions I read, I haven't been able to come up with a working solution and frustration is setting in so I'm looking for some help.

I want to monitor a XML file stored on a drive of one of our servers and alarm whenever that contents changes.  It would be preferable if the alarm could contain all the attributes of the element for the change record, but would settle to have the complete contents of the file. I was planning on going with the logmon probe, but I'm open to options if there is something more suitable.

A sample of my file is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<Companies>
<Company Name="Some company" Id="123456789">
<Code1>0</Code1>
<code2 />
</Company>
<Company Name="Some other company" Id="987654321">
<Code1>0</Code1>
<code2 />
</Company>

</Companies>

The field names are generic, but the format is identical to the real file.  I appreciate any help.
