I see there used to be an iostat probe for collecting stats from iostat in unix. Was this functionality rolled into another probe, or am i just missing something? I don't see any probes available that have this functionality currently.
I would like to also know this.
There is no probe that will do this. What i've done is write a little script to collect the data with logmon.
I just saw this post... I've attached the IOStat Probe, let me know how it works out for you.
It should probably be mentioned that the iostat probe is NOT a supported probe...
Has anyone modified the iostat probe to work with the HP-UX operating system???
I had no luck with the iostat probe. I aquired a perl script from the web and use logmon to run it.
Any news about this probe?
I tried to install in a Linux system (RedHat) and what I get was:
Oct 22 16:33:27:777 Controller: Probe 'iostat' FAILED to start (command = /opt/nimsoft/probes/system/iostat/../../../bin/perl) does not exist or is unreachable
Did you distribute the packages containing the Perl binaries and SDK?
You're right, I forgot that packages.
Now seems it runs well, I will wait some hours to view the QoS results.
