Is there any way to extend the timeout period for the DevTest console? We'd like to set this to 20 minutes.
Anyone know what the standard timeout value is?
We're using v8.0.1.
Standard timeout value is 20 mins or 1200 seconds.
Try this --
console.max.user.lifetime.seconds=time in seconds.
Also, is there an idle time that can be set for the Workstation as well?
default is 20 mins or 1200 seconds.
Not sure if this works
I set it for 12000 = 200 Minutes but it did not work.
Console still required to sign back in 20 minutes later
Just checking if you restarted the Registry after the new values were put in?
Yes, System and Registry restarted. System is Windows 7 Enterprise, DevTest 8.0.1. Values added to site.properties
And I would say the timeout is more like 5 minutes.. always having to log back in to look at my service status.
it works in 8.2 !
just set it up, and let my console and workstation open for several hours with no errors.
Dimitris - could you please post the exact commands that you used (including the values for the variables as there is confusion with another post if the units are seconds or milliseconds), where they were entered and what process was followed once the amendments had been made.
I placed the following commands in the local.properties file in order to set them for 1 hour and restarted registry but it doesn't appear to have changed.
Not sure if using 'Set' is superfluous or if I should be using a value of 36000 instead (milliseconds). Also all services have been restarted several times since the entries were made but the default still remains in effect.
Here’s what I used in local.properties and it seems to work fine:
## Extend DevTest console timeout period
## default should be 1200 seconds (20 minutes)
## Set to 200 minutes...
