How to use domains in the Jaspersoft Studio

By defining a JasperReports Server Access Configuration, it is possible to use a Domain JRS in the dataset of a report in the Jaspersoft Studio.

When using the user superuser and an empty Organization, I succeeded in seeing all CA PPM domains and using their fields in a report.

Unfortunately, the preview of the report fails with following exception:

net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: java.lang.NullPointerException

  at com.jaspersoft.studio.editor.preview.view.control.ReportControler.fillReport(ReportControler.java:468)

  at com.jaspersoft.studio.editor.preview.view.control.ReportControler.access$18(ReportControler.java:443)

  at com.jaspersoft.studio.editor.preview.view.control.ReportControler$4.run(ReportControler.java:335)

  at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:54)

This is similar to an error you get when trying to compose an ad hoc report with the superuser.

This brings me to the conclusion that the superuser must not be used to work with CA PPM in Jaspersoft.

But what is the alternative if I plan to use the standard domains from CA PPM in the Studio?

Thanks for any hints!
