I am investigating options for automating bulk incident/problem operations in CA SDM.
As a part of that investigation, I'm evaluating user interaction / start request forms in PAM as a potential resource.
I would like to be able to present a user with the ability to select a given CI, SDM user, or Incident/Problem record from a list of SDM 'items', and then dynamically alter the content of the form based upon attributes of the selected item.
I can't seem to identify a way to:
A) Browse available items external to PAM from within the user interaction form
B) Fetch information about a selected item, and then update the form
For challenge A, is there some way to 'import' the select user / select CI dialogues available in SDM into PAM itself?
For challenge B, is it possible to execute a process or operator from inside of a user interaction form, and then update the contents of the form based upon data returned by that process/operator?
It seems that if B is possible in some fashion, I could solve A myself with a bit of elbow grease, but not being able to do either may present some serious difficulties.
