Using Require SSL or TLS Transport with Client Certificate Authentication Assertion - where is Layer 7 looking for the client cert on the request?

Hi All,

I am trying to use the "Require SSL or TLS Transport with Client Certificate Authentication" assertion. I am using SOAP UI to submit a request using a keystore (containing my public X509 cert) that I set in the SOAP UI Preferences --> SSL Settings --> Keystore and Keystore password. After I submit the request Layer 7 picks up my request and the assertion fails saying "No Client Certificate was present on the request". I even wrote my own java client that pulls from the same keystore and sends the cert on the request, but I get the same assertion fail in Layer 7.

Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Does the keystore need to have a certain combination of private key/ public cert or something?

Thanks in advance for any help.
