Passing ID number from Resource Object to Portlet/Page

I'm trying to add an page & portlet to an action dropdown on the Resource Object that passes the ODF_PARENT_ID or ID or any value that can work with the PARAM within the portlet so that the only results show filtered for the user you used the action menu for.

Here's what I'm working with:

SELECT
@SELECT:DIM:USER_DEF:IMPLIED:SECURITY:(GRP_ID||RES_ID):UNIQUE_ID@
,@SELECT:DIM_PROP:USER_DEF:IMPLIED:SECURITY:GROUP_NAME:GROUP_NAME@

FROM (
  SELECT GRP.ID GRP_ID, ADMIN_RES.ID RES_ID, NAME.GROUP_NAME GROUP_NAME

  FROM CMN_SEC_USER_GROUPS USERS
  INNER JOIN CMN_SEC_GROUPS GRP ON GRP.ID = USERS.GROUP_ID
  INNER JOIN CMN_SEC_USERS ADMIN_RES ON ADMIN_RES.ID = USERS.USER_ID
  INNER JOIN CMN_SEC_GROUPS_V NAME ON GRP.ID = NAME.ID

  WHERE GRP.IS_ACTIVE = 1
  AND LANGUAGE_CODE= @WHERE:PARAM:LANGUAGE@
  AND ADMIN_RES.ID = ?
)

WHERE @FILTER@

Not sure what I need to put in the ? section to filter correctly, or what other configuration is needed to ensure that it passes to the portlet, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this something that should work: @where:param:xml:string:/data/id/@value@

do I need to ensure linking is setup correctly?
