Can any field in the incident / change order / request be made to a drop down list instead of being auto populated?
When the "edit in list" is selected the fields will auto populate based on whichever ticket is selected (if none is manually selected, the top ticket is auto-selected). It may involve some type of java script if you don't want any ticket auto selected.
If the major issue is looking to make the items a drop down instead of a lookup you will have to adjust the SelListCacheMax value in the \bopcfg\www\web.cfg file, remove the "! " and adjust the value to be a large enough number to accommodate the number of items that you have that you need to display. Please note this is a system wide change and will require a recycle.
Try adding the lookup property to the specific field you want. "lookup=no"
The Lookup property specifies whether or not a Dropdown control is converted into a Lookup control if the number of entries for the Dropdown control is exceeds an installation-specified threshold (normally ten).
To specify this property, select Yes or No from the dropdown displayed when you click in the cell to the right of the Lookup property in the Properties dialog. Select the default value of Yes to specify that the Dropdown control should become a lookup control if the number of entries in the dropdown exceeds the threshold. Select No to specify that the control should always remain a dropdown, regardless of how many entries it contains.
