Unable to update ticket due to lock, admin tab shows this lock but unable to delete lock via admin tab, is there any way to delete lock without bouncing services?
Do you have the option (canchk I believe) enabled to allow manual unlocking? Also how long has the lock been there? What is the lock date shown on the admin tab? Remember that locks are part of normal behavior but should not be long term.
We do have some commands to manually unlock records, but you would need to know which domsrvr has it locked specifically.
You can run an "slstat > slstat.txt" command and then open slstat.txt to give you a list of the slump names for the processes -in which you would need the domsrvr slump names for each domsrvr. Then, you can use the following commands to list the locks, and then unlock the record (replacing "<domsrvr>" with the actual domsrvr slump names and no "<" or ">" symbols:
To get a list of locked records on a specific domsrvr:
1. in a command window navigate to:
2. Run command: bop_cmd -d domsrvr -f bop_diag.frg "list_blocked()"
If the list returns values, there will be an "object name" in the record which is a string of characters such as "T03xB3J" (random looking). Look at the lock dates on the records that are returned - if you see records that are more than a day old, then you can go ahead and attempt to unlock the record using the following command (this time replacing the domsrvr name as you did in the first command, and the object name with the string from the returned records):
bop_cmd -d <domsrvr> -f bop_diag.frg "unblock('<object_name>')"
Now if you do not see anything blocked after checking each domsrvr on your system, then you can attempt to unlock it using this command (replacing the IP of the primary server with the actual ip address without the "<" and ">" symbols, and replacing the ID of the ticket with the actual ID - not the refnum, but the actual id of the ticket as per its db record in the call_req table):
bopmsg <ip of primary server> bpvirtdb_srvr bpvirtdb unlock <id of ticket> Call_Req
Again these may or may not work - if they do not work, the only option you will have at that point is to recycle services to clear the lock.
Hope this helps,
