I post timesheet with 8 hours and ACWP is 1972. After I adjust timesheet and post it. Hours is zero but ACWP values is still 1972.
Is there any method to recalculate ACWP to 0.
Q1: Was the ACWP 1972 before you posted 8 hours ?
Q2: After adjusting the timesheet, did you run the Post Transaction to Financial job and do the Post to WIP ?
Q1: ACWP was zero before I posted 8 hours?
Q2: Yes, I did it
Have you checked for any invalid transactions ?
There is no related record in invalid transactions. I tested with QA Environment. It works fine. But for my customer production environment. It didn't work as expected.
Try running Update Earned Value Totals job. Thanks, Jerin
I did it as well.
Running the 'Update Costs' aka 'Update Earned Value Totals' job will update the ACWP when you have made the adjustment. Check that the NBI table for the '-1' task has the same rate it had when the original hours were posted, so that it knows to subtract the correct amount from ACWP.
This would work like this:
1. post hours from timesheet ; execute 'update costs' ; ACWP is updated with actual costs computed from hours * cost rate in NBI
2. adjust hours to zero ; execute 'updated costs' ; ACWP is updated to zero using same cost rate
Were you able to resolve this using Kathryn's response ?
I tested on QA. It works as Kathryn mentioned. But this case on production why it is not the same behaviour. Any more suggestion for track cause of this case?
