I've added the category field in USS, but it display Incident Symbol.
Can Incident Self-Service symbol be displayed in USS? and also how to display "Properties" in USS
If USS is setup with SDM Datasource only, adding a Category in SDM's DSN triggers a SOAP query via doQuery.
And its hard coded to persistent_id and sym (not self-service sym). That's why the behavior you see. Its not configurable at this time L
Here's an example query sent to SDM:
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ser="http://www.ca.com/UnicenterServicePlus/ServiceDesk">
<whereClause>ss_include=1 and delete_flag=0 and in_flag=1</whereClause>
And then using the resulting list handle.
If you have Service Catalog in picture too, maybe Catalog Report an Issue offering can be tweaked to show appropriate values from SDM categories.
That seems to be a bad design. do CA have any plan to correct this?
I mean USS is designed mainly for self service so that make no sense to not display the self service symbol as default or either better enhance USS to allow to select the display attribute when adding SREL field.
Here is a youtube link,
"CA Service Catalog customizing the content tutorial tells you how customize the Services, forms to meet the organization needs."
This video explains how to add a static property on an Incident Area. But i require the ability to dynamically list the properties from Incident areas, as they vary. Any ideas ???
The tutorial shown how to add the properties through Service Catalog. If I don't have service catalog, can it be done through USS?
