Using External Dataset Triggers

We started using External Datasets on our test instance.

The triggers were working fine but we wanted to stop them for a 24 hour period, so we placed the jobs that get triggered for each dataset to NOT run.

So when we wanted to Start the jobs to start running again we removed the hold on the jobs.

So when the datasets were created the jobs would not trigger any jobs.

Not sure where to start looking it was decided to just recycle CA7 & ICOM and then it started trigging the jobs again.

So my questions are.....

1. Was this the correct way to handle the stopping of these jobs?

2. How do I go about troubleshooting why the job is not being triggered.

Thanks,

Rogers
