Customer is providing us the Cluster Database alias name but they will move the database to another server with change of hostname and ip address but alias name will be the same. Is this will affect the CA Process Automation 4.3 ?
If the database is available at the same JDBC URL, then PAM should not be impacted. I would recommend testing this in Development prior to applying to a Production environment.
If the hostname of your database changes, PAM will no longer be able to connect to the database. The database configuration is contained in the \pam\server\c2o\.config\OasisConfig.properties file. You can review and modify the hostnames directly in that file, or use the installer to reconfigure:
Knowledge Doc ID: TEC500533 "How do I reconfigure PAM to modify Ports, authentication and Database Settings?"
The installer allows you to test the connection to ensure it will work.
Here in this scenario PAM is creating database through database server alias name. alias name will be remain same if database of PAM will be moved from one server to another with change of IP and hostname
