I want to know about the logs along with their location, that confirm whether the migration of CA Service Desk from 12.6 to 14.1 was successful or not.

here a list of the logfiles created during the migration using a swingbox
Service Desk Manager_r14_1_Install.log
configure.log The most importand one that has to be checked carefully
The files are in different directories, but you ll find them.
you may want to have your start point in the sdm log folder and look for any errors and success message in pdm_migrationr14_1.log:
Sun Jun 28 13:03:46 2015: ==============================================================================Sun Jun 28 13:03:46 2015: SUCCESS: Migration process completed normally.
Sun Jun 28 13:03:46 2015: You must now run pdm_configure before using Service Desk Manager.Sun Jun 28 13:03:46 2015: ==============================================================================
You may also look in the same folder to Service Desk Manager_r14_1_Install.log, you need there to check command and their result line by line for error/success message
As usual you must also look at the configure .out and std.log file after you run the pdm_configure command and started SDM.

The 'install.log' and 'mdb_install.log' are located on the Temp folder, if you need to review that as well should anything go wrong.
The 'install.log' in temp folder and the 'Service Desk Manager_r14_1_Install.log' in the log folder have different informations?
