Making Field Mandetory

Hi All, In service desk in our environment we have added status name "Solution Provided" for requests. We expect that when the analyst user selects this status Solution provided to be logged mandetorily. There is a "Solution.." option under "Activities" menu. We want to make this solution mandetory for "Solution Provided" status. Does anyone know how to achieve this? Please guide us for the same.
