Has anyone setup escalation notifications on classic workflow? We want to have our approval tasks escalate if they have not been approved timely.
Hi, You can attach service type/event to you wf tasks or use behavior to trigger events and send notifications directly or either change status and/or priority of your change orders.
Many possibility there depending on the action you would like to do by "escalate"
I have setup an event and condition for workflow still pending after 00:12:00 (this will be 30 hours eventually but just wanted be able to it quicker).
I've set the Service Type for V1p1 on the change order tasks tab
On the change order category/under the specific workflow, I added the service type of v1p1
When we log a test ticket and check the service type on the workflow it does not show as active. Delay status shows Not active. At change order level if refresh the service type there will show in progress. The workflow service type will not go active.
I'm sure the Not active has something do with this not working. Help
Never mind we got this working!
Do you want to share how you got this working?
Sure..it's kind of hard to explain but I will try. I'm sure there are multiple ways of doing this, but this is the way we found that worked.
Created the event first - as a change order workflow task object type. (I set the delay time to 00:02:00 to it would it would kick off in 2 minutes so was faster for testing - but the repeat delay has to be 00:10:00 or higher)
Then created a macro with macro type of "attach event" and had it go get the Event we just created.
Then go to the change order category to the specific workflow I wanted this on.
Click on the workflow
On the To Do tab - select Update actions on true button
under the Type - select attach event and click on the name of the event you created in the "attach event" earlier
Move it over
Then add the multiple notification to add the ready task notification that we always use - you wouldn't have to add that but we use on all of our.
If you need further help I would be happy to help.
