What is the best method for initiating a HTTP request from ESP, ESP may need to parse the HTTP response and get the status from field “ActivationState” in order to determine the result of the call.
You may use the following, so that the response can be written to the job spool file:
Then use TEXT_MON to check if the proper data (like field) is found; if yes, then release the next wob.
Just some thoughts,
Thanks Lucy, I take it this will require the Application Services Agent, correct? This is something similar to what we are trying to issue:
http(s)://test.tst.sap.test:50000/AdapterFramework/ChannelAdminServlet?party=&service=BLService&channel=File1_sender&action=stop. Would also like for ESP to parse the HTTP response and get the status from field "ActivationState" in order to determine the result of the call.
Would you be willing to respond with a sample job definition? I'd like to see how you did this!
At this point we have not setup anything, just trying to figure out all the things we need to do at this point. Thanks.
Jonathan, here is the example that CA sent to me.
HTTP_JOB GOOGLE AGENT HADOOP INVOCATIONTYPE GET SERVLET_URL HTTP://GOOGLE.COM/SEARCH PARAMETER KEYWORD(Q) VALUE('CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION') PARAMETER KEYWORD(AS_FILETYPE) VALUE(PDF) PARAMETER KEYWORD(AS_SITESEARCH) VALUE(CA.COM) AUTHORDER (BASIC, DIGEST, NTLM) RUN DAILY RELEASE PROCOUT ENDJOB
That helps, but I'm wanting to see how you take output from it and read it in to some logic that takes action.
Hi Jonathan, we haven't got that far yet, hoping to get the Application Services plug-in installed soon and then we'll go from there.
