It is taking time to launch Devtest 8.4 workstation and it is consuming high cpu usage after it start,After few mins of launch, it doesnt respond. Any suggestions to correct this issue?
Usually 4 GB of system's RAM is sufficient for workstation to operate without difficulty. Please try to increase the memory options in the file vm.options in LISA HOME directory. Hope this helps.
Can you please tell us details about workstation system details:
*) Which OS are you using.
*) What is the CPU, RAM and available disc space on your machine
*) Did you copy any custom jars to Devtest installation
*) Are you using 32-bit OS or 64-bit OS
*) Can you also tell us the java version you are using by running command "java -version" from command prompt (without quotes)
Some additional suggestions:
- Check the workstation.log to see if there are errors or what the workstation is doing. Optionally set DEBUG in logging.properties: log4j.rootCategory=DEBUG,A1
- Check the latency between the workstation machine and the machine where the registry is running by using ping. If there is more than 100ms latency to the registry machine, then that can cause significant delays and problems.
