While adding Team member to Project under Team , i am getting below Error. This is happening for only few projects.
Could some one help me to resolve this issue.
As the error seems to be related to the collaboration area, could you check the following?
Go to Administration > Project management > Settings
What is the option set to: Automatically Add Staff Members As Investment Participant?
Could you try with different options here and check if the issue persists?
Did you check in the app-ca.log for errors, or exceptions leading upto this issue.
Also on the projects where you are experiencing this issue, do you get the error , if you add any resource, or roles ?
"Contact your system administrator" - really that means "look in the application log files to see if there is an error message".
So firstly look in the app-ca.log file for any further information.

We are using on demand portal. Since we could not get app log properly.
Is there any other way to check this.
There is a way to view the logs and download the same.
For example, if your CA PPM URL is -> https://<server_name>/niku/nu#action:homeActionId , replace the homeActionId with -> https://<server_name>/niku/nu#action:security.logs
This will land you to the system logs page, from the log file drop down , you can select the necessary file name, set the desired size of file, using the Max Size option , display it by clicking on Go or Download it post it is displayed.

With respect to the stated issue, can you carry out another test:
Navigate to the project in CA PPM and go to the team tab
Instead of adding a resource, try to add a role and check if you are able to add the same. This will help you segregate the issue.
Secondly you had mentioned, the issue occurs for few projects, so in other projects where you are able to add resources, can you add the same resource, which is causing the error for the project - Cleo Vl Trader
Also with the affected projects, how were they created, from templates or through XOG
We further observe that a support case is also raised for this issue, under your name, presently. It would be helpful to investigate the issue in details and as a support case, wherein an engineer would get in touch with you. Since, it involves checking configuration, page layout, etc.
You should be able to check the app-ca.log by going to this (example) address. Please adjust the server URL properly:
If you have more than one server in the dropdown, try first with the one marked as local. For the log file, select "app-ca.log" and a sufficient size to be able to see the logs from the time where the error happened.

That setting governs the participant list of the project.
It governs whether you want to add the team member as participant. With the never setting, team members will never be added as participants.
It seems that on the projects affected, something must be wrong with the participants menu.
Being participant or not, allows you to access the collaboration tab.
Only participants are able to see and access the collaboration tab
Actually our purpose is when the resource is added Team then he should be added to participants automatically.
if I changed to Never then it may impact the purpose which have mentioned above.
Could you please help to understand the cause of this issue .
