Dont launch a job if the previous job is still running

Hi All

Following is the scenario where I need some help of experts

I have a job which takes time varying from 2-5min.

I am running this job every 3 min using Execute Recurring.

What I am trying to achieve is that the recurring activity shouldn't trigger the new job if the previously triggered job is still active.

What I was thinking was, I can set something in Pre-process which pauses the parent job from triggering any more executions. And once the job is completed I can enable it again in Post process. But I am not sure what functions I can use or if this is even possible via scripting (or any other method).

Any inputs are appreciated

Thanks

Nimish
