Converting agent to agent_group in over 2000 jobs description.

Discussion created by Tran-Hoang_Hau_348 on Aug 31, 2016
Q: We’ve a need to change our agent assignment from ‘agent’ to ‘agent’ group. We assign the agent in the preprocess step like this:

:set &host# = GET_VAR(INV.OMS.CRIMS_V91.VARIABLES.HOST, HOST)
:print &host#

:PUT_ATT HOST = &host#

I understand to apply agent groups the code must look like this:

:SET &HND# = PREP_PROCESS_AGENTGROUP("INV.CRIMS_V96.HOSTG",,"BY_RULE")

:PROCESS &HND#
: SET &AGENT# = GET_PROCESS_LINE(&HND#,1)
: SET &STATUS# = GET_PROCESS_LINE(&HND#,2)
: PRINT "Agent: &AGENT#"
: PRINT "Status: &STATUS#"
: IF &STATUS# = "Y"
: PUT_ATT HOST = &AGENT#
: TERM_PROCESS
: ENDIF
:ENDPROCESS

:CLOSE_PROCESS &HND#

:print 'host is: &agent# '
:print 'login is: &login#'

Is there an easy way to make this change in mass? Perhaps extract the information from the db table and replace?

A .
We have utility named "change" which will helps to change/modify the exported data
Basically you would need to have the Transport case of the job and then using this utility to modify the a part of the object (script), then import them to the system
