Upgrading the Automation Engine older versions

Hello Automic Community!

Previously, we had a post which laid out the upgrade path from older versions of the Automation Engine to v11.1. We wanted to generalize this information so users will know how to upgrade to the latest version of the Automation Engine from older versions.

**Please make sure that you use the DB Load tool of the Version you are upgrading to!**

Users on Systems older then V8:
  • Perform a full backup of your DB
  • Update to the oldest supported version (9.13.3 SP12 HF3 as of 9/15/2016)
  • Update to the latest V11

Users on V8:
  • Perform a full backup of your DB
  • Update to the latest V9
  • Update to the latest V11

Users on V9 or V10:
  • Perform a full backup of your DB
  • Update to the latest V11

There is no need to start the Automation Engine between the steps.
