Controlling when a Data Sequence is processed

Discussion created by Karim_Azzouzi_8427 on Dec 18, 2017
Hello. I have a job where I want to execute JCL (UNIX) commands to generate a file, then execute it using a data sequence with the UNIXCMD process.

The problem I'm having is that the data sequence is prepped prior to the JCL creating the file and because the file doesn't exist, the prep_process operation fails.. I understand that this should be built as two different objects, but this task is so minor and simple that I would like to keep it in a single job. Is there a wait or attribute I can modify on this job to change that behavior?

To get you script working please create :
1) The JCL Unix to create file script in the Process tab
2) The Prep_process_file rather the Prep_process and put it in the !Process tab which is as definition PostProcess
