Please suggest me best step to update .XLS(data) - (new CI's) to be updated in service desk.
You can use GRLoader to load XLS/CSV formatted data about CI into SDM.
Can you please share me the steps to update that using GRLoader.

Thing is that its a clients production environment and I can't deploy this directly.Because doing such its generating many duplicate CI's.
Please suggest me a good step for resolving this?
If you are unsure if the data that you are loading into the system is unique (Not New in this case) then please use the pdm_deref command to identify if similar CI's are existing in the current environment. Based on the results you may eliminate the duplicates and bulk load the data using GRLoader into the PROD environment mentioned.
You can find more details on pdm_deref command in below communities thread.
Note: YOu may also try to create some dummy CI in your test environment and try to find out the results using pdm_deref for some duplicate CI's which might help you in understanding the feature better.
