Why are defects that are in a closed or cancelled status still appearing in the backlog view?
If the Defect is not assigned to an Iteration or a Release, it will still show in the Backlog. If this Defect is assigned to an Iteration or a Release, please let us know.
For me it seems to work. I changed the state of a Defect to 'Closed' and it went out of the backlog view.
Can you make certain that's the field you're changing?
If still not working for you , can you include a screen shot of one defect showing the issue?
Here is an example of a defect that is in a cancelled state but is appearing in the backlog view.
Thank you for your assistance.
