There is a plan to purge Risks and Issues that are older than 1.5 years. Does anyone have an automated approach that you are using?

Personally I regard DELETING risks as bad practice. You can CLOSE a risk for sure; but actually removing it from the system seems bad to me (and something our Risk managers are very against).
As such I don't think there is any supported way to do that (delete) in bulk.
You can bulk
risks through through XOG; XOG out the risks/issues, update the XML to set the status to closed and then XOG them back in.
(or you could raise a support request to update the RIM_RISKS_AND_ISSUES . STATUS_CODE to CLOSED in bulk on the database - Note I am NOT suggesting any direct database deletes here as that would definitely raise database integrity concerns)
Or even build a quick RISK object based portlet (and one for ISSUES), select back the desired risks and update (in Edit Mode) them all (a page at a time)?

Why delete the risks/issues. We have a data rentention policy in place whereas I must purge all Clarity data with finsih dates 2 years or older from present day. This not only removes the risks/issues but it also purges ALL the project data. Food for thought.
