Monitoring resource availability into future when switching teams

[font=Arial]Here is the situation: we have a pool of resources that are "project" driven and they will switch deparments (Teams) regularly. How do you view the future availability of those resources since OBS is current or past time.
Example:
Joe is on Team A from Jan- June 2010
Joe is supposed to be on TEAm B July 1 2010- October 2010
then he goes to Team C November - Feb 2011

Each time, Joe will change to a different OBS/Resource Mgr

how does (pretend this is now April 2010)
Team A - reflect that their monthly availability will be DECREASING in June?
Team B - reflect availablilty increases in July but drops in Nov?
Team C- reflect availabiliy is low until November and then increases through Feb 2011?

Does that make sense? I don't see how roles will work. These are named resources and since resources only have one calendar thus one availabiliy-- I am stuck. Has anyone had to face this or can you help brainstorm a way to think of this? I am probably leaving out details but my brain is fried! Would the "to be hired" concept fit in anywhere or is that mostly role driven?
