Which of the following are considered ERU's (external run units)?

- Batch job (COBOL program).
- Batch job (UCFBTCH).
- ADS via CICS.- CICS/IDMS COBOL program.
- CICS dedicated task.
- CA-Server request (CCI line).
- TSO interface.

Re: External run units
"Here is my understanding. I am sure the others will correct me if my
understanding is flawed.

External run units are primarily because they make IDMS DBMS calls through
the SVC:

Batch job (COBOL program).
CICS/IDMS COBOL program. (If the program is loaded into the CICS program
pool)
TSO interface. (If the program is loaded into your TSO region)
CICS dedicated task.

Internals are:

Batch job (UCFBTCH).
ADS via CICS.
TSO interface. (If you are talking about invoking DBDC using UCFTSO)

Don't know - CA-Server request (CCI line).
