Re:CAS/DATA

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Mar 8, 2007
Hi Listers -

Is there anyone on this planet or one near by that is running CAS/DATA on
Release 16 ?

I can't get it to work on 16, but it works fine on 14.1.

Since it has changed hands a few times, is it a product that is even
supported anymore by anybody?

Do I need to box it up and leave it by the curb?

Since it has it's own identically-named proprietary line drivers and a slew
of include modules for RHDCUXIT, I have to believe that DSECT changes are
most of my problem and there is no source.

Thanks.

Re: QO84982 Broken Chains
"I know what the problem that QO84981 (15.0 version) is supposed to fix. If you execute a DCMT VARY BUFFER *** PAGES and you are decreasing the number of pages you are at risk putting the CV into a loop. If *** a multiple of 32 the CV will loop. Any other number is okay. You won't see the loop until shutdown or if you try to vary an area mapped to that buffer. The loop happens then.

Bill,

I do not have access to SupportConnect to see more details on QO84982 so
it would be helpful if you could give some details of the conditions
that caused QO84982 to be raised. I know it mentions a loop in IDMSDBIO
but there must be more to it than just the looping.

Thanks

Chris
