Re: [IDMSVENDOR-L] 2 PDE copies in memory

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Aug 31, 2007
kay - i have only seen this done when a pde gets corrupted or out of
sync
with the SYSGEN (in 10.2 days) - and you wanted a fresh PDE for a
program -
rather then bouncing the CV, rename the PDE in memory - the next time
the
program in invoked the system can't find a PDE for the program in
memory,
so it loads a new PDE from the (presumable correct) sysgen entry for the
program

"This may a dumb question, but why would you ever want to vary the
program name in a PDE?
