getting ptfs for IDMS

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on May 28, 2008
hello all

is there a ""ptf bucket"" for CA-IDMS (as CA has for other products) where
all PTFs and HOLDDATA for a product can be FTP'd? or am I still required
to
go to the DOWNLOAD center and select the fixes I want?

thanks,

another 16.0 gotcha - post SP06 fixes download
"if you install at SP06 (0710) and go to support.ca.com and request all
fixes AFTER sp06, you will be presented with approx. 150 fixes.
Unfortunately, almost one-half of them are NOT for SP06.
They were written AFTER SP06 was released, but specifically do not apply to
SP06 (but rather to SP00 and/or SP01)- so each fix must be eyeballed to see
if it is applicable
(there is no seeming way to filter these from the CA website)

now admittedly, I did not eyeball every fix on a mass install of 125+
fixes- so i got MANY failures. even worse, some of the fixes marked as NOT
for SP06 did in fact apply successfully, and in doing so prevented the fix
that WAS intended for SP06 from applying!!

(I got the same list of fixes when going through the PRODUCT STATUS screen
under SUPPORT BY PRODUCT (CA-IDMS)

there may be no way around this but it is a P I T (insert body part of
choice)

Re: Transaction ID overflowing
"Thanks, Iain. I guess I will schedule time for journal inits. I did init
our journals when I went from 15.0 to 16.0.
