Hello.

I am new to IDMS , I have got a clarification, is it possible to put
IDMS DML statements in a cobol copy book? This copybook should be used
in procedure division?

"Yes it is possible. You can create an IDMS Module with your procedure division statements in it and then add a 'COPY IDMS mod-name' to your procedure division. It will be resolved in the IDMS precompiler. We did this for years. We now use a source code manager that expands all copy books, both Working-Storage section and Procedure division, prior to the IDMS pre-compiler. This allowed us to use regular cobol copybooks instead of IDMS modules.
