Re:JREPORT=8 with Record Type and DBKEY Selection

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Aug 6, 2010
I need to run JREPORT=8 with BFOR and AFTER image record selection and a
specific DBKEY selection. The syntax I am using below is not correct
for the DBKEY selection, but I have not been able to determine the
correct syntax. The syntax is accepted by the CULPRIT report, but I am
fairly certain it is not correct.

The JREPORTS section in the CA-IDMS/DB Journal Reports manual shows an
example using field name DBKEY-A, but this field does not exist.

Please, email me the correct syntax if you have it available.

JREPORT=8
SELECT ( TYPE EQ 'BFOR' OR TYPE EQ 'AFTR' )
* AND ( DB-KEY EQ 16007102 )

Thank you,

"John,
Dbkey is a computational field. So I think you must specify:
REC DBKEY-FOUR 49 4 3
The 3 means a packed computational field

Pete,

Thank you for the response. The missing parameter I needed was the REC
parameter with the field name to use, and the position and length of the
DBKEY.

REC DBKEY-FOUR 49 4
JREPORT=8
SELECT WHEN TYPE EQ ( 'BFOR' 'AFTR') AND DBKEY-FOUR EQ
* (X'16007102')
