Requirement: A user logs into a realm and creates a session. User closes browser, comes back to the app. his session shd kick back up.

Can SiteMinder persistent session provide this functionality. I am assuming so.

I created a realm with persistent cookie option and the ACO is configured for 'Persistent Session = Yes'. Created a session store and can see successful authentications to the realm. See sessions in session store. However, when I come back in with a new browser, I m still bring prompted. persistent cookie is generated on the user's hard drive which is seen as a text file. When user access the same resource next time, I noticed that the cookie is accessed during that time. All 'Last Checked','Last Modified', 'Last accessed' fields represent new times. However, I still get prompted.

Anyone done this before? What kind of logs do you see in a web agent trace when it extracts existing pesistent cookie?

Thanks in advance.
